TOUR 1- NORTH TOUR (09 00-18 30 )
Port Louis- Pamplemousses- Grand Baie
Leave the hotel at 09 00 to start a wonderful journey shopping at the Caudan Waterfront or even have lunch there. Then after 3 hours in Port Louis, set out for a stroll in the Pamplemousses botanical garden, where you can admire nature's beauty and enjoy the freshness of the island. One hour later, your transport will take you to the north, beyond Tombeau Bay, to the pleasant beaches where you can swim or enjoy water sports. The coast turns towards Grand Baie, the best area for sailing, windsurfing and water-skiing.
TOUR 2- THE SOUTH TOUR (08 30-18 00)
Bois Cheri- Grand Bassin- Souillac- Black River Gorges(viewpoint)- Chamarel
Leave hotel and proceed to Bois Cheri for a walk through our vanilla plantations, our anthurium greenhouses and tea factory and enjoy some unforgettable scents. Enjoy the Mauritian easy way of life in our house where meal will be served in the peaceful surroundings of our exotic garden.
Then you will visit the "Grand Bassin", the holy lake of the Mauritian Hindus. Crossing the colourful temple, you step into the heart of the place, on the banks of the sacred lake. The latter represents the seat of prayers every year for the pilgrims celebrating the Maha Shivratree festival (21st February). The Hindus believe that this lake, embedded into the crater of a volcano, is connected subterranean with the Ganges in India. Higher up on the banks of the lake, after some ten minutes of climbing up the stairs, you will witness a wonderful view over land and lake. You may even try your luck and make a wish while ringing a bell.
TOUR 3- THE EAST (08 30-18 30)
Pointe du Diable- Vieux Grand Port- The Flacq Market- Ile aux Cerfs
Leaving the hotel at 08 30, your guide will accompany you along the east coast, enjoying the great ocean views from Pte Du Diable where you will find the Pte Du Diable battery which guarded the access to Grand Port for a long time. From Pointe du Diable you will proceed to the Flacq Market, passing through the most ancient settlements of Mauritius and the ruins of the first Dutch fortifications found at Vieux Grand Port.
Flacq is one of the most important villages of Mauritius. This meeting point of eastern inhabitants encloses the largest open air market of the country. The extremely colourful market attracts a large number of people.
After the site visit, your guide will accompany you to the most beautiful beach of Mauritius, Ile aux Cerfs where you can go for water sports as well.
