PAMPLEMOUSSES GARDENS
The gardens are known to naturalists throughout the world for their large collection of indigenous and exotic plants, including the giant Amazonica water lilies and many species of palm trees.  Of particular interest is the talipot palm, said to flower once every sixty years.

CHAMAREL
A winding road leads from the village of Case Noyale to the Coloured Earths of Chamarel: a hill with undulating soil of different and contrasting shades.  The neighbouring waterfalls of Chamarel rise from the moors and the native vegetation.  The site holds rare beauty.

CASELA
Situated in the Riviere Noire district, the bird park stretches over 25 hectares and contains more than 140 bird species from the five continents. The main attraction remains the Pink Pigeon, one of the most rare birds in the world.

BLACK RIVER GORGES
This is a national park of 6,574 hectares which was created in 1994 for the protection of the remaining native forests of Mauritius.  Visitors can enjoy magnificent landscapes, with endemic plants and rare bird species.

ILE AUX CERFS
A paradise for water sports. It witnesses one of the most beautiful beaches of Mauritius.  This small island, delicately poised on the ocean, is an unavoidable stop in the Mauritian landscape.

TROU AUX CERFS
Mauritius was formed after intense volcanic activity as proved by Trou aux Cerfs crater, on the plateau of Curepipe.  This extinct volcano is 85 meters deep with a diameter of 200 metres and offers an exceptional view on the west of the island.
